A man is what he fights for.

Viktor Burakov is a physician that one inauspicious evening receives a mutilated corpse of a youth. He asks the police to do some further investigating of the area and they bring back several more dead bodies to his office. Viktor brings these details to his superiors and they instantly promote him to detective. Despite having no experience in this field he accepts the position and begins hunting down the man responsible for these heinous acts.

"As many as seventeen stab wounds to the face and eyes...".

Chris Gerolmo, director of Certain Prey and the television series Over There, delivers Citizen X. The storyline for this picture is very intense and well delivered. It reminded me slightly of Changeling (the Jolie/Eastwood picture). The characters were fascinating and well delivered and the cast delivered excellent performances. The cast includes Stephen Rea, Donald Sutherland, Max von Skydow, Jeffrey DeMunn, and John Wood.

"Did you help me get this job so I can do your job too?".

I have been DVR'ing Donald Sutherland pictures the last few years and decided to give this picture a shot. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this film. I had never heard of this and felt it was a better version of Lovely Bones or Stir of Echoes. This is seriously of the quality of Changeling (which also thoroughly impressed me). I strongly recommend giving this film a viewing.

"Do I look like a man of courage to you?".
