This was a great movie. I have read the Cirque Du Freak books and the producers did an OK job of following the story line. But they did leave out many characters and parts. The movie is based off of the first three books: 1.Cirque Du Freak, 2.The Vampire's Assistant, and 3.Tunnels of Blood. They left out entirely the third book, Tunnels of Blood and very important parts of The Vampire's Assistant! They totally left out Tommy Jones, Allen Moris, Sam Grest, Debbie Hemlock, and R.V.! Mr. Curzie is supposed to be Mr. Howard and is supposed to be Steve's favourite teacher. They also left out the parts where RV is introduced and also where Sam was introduced. Also, who is the monkey girl, she wasn't even in the books. They completely got Murlough wrong. He is supposed to have purple skin, red hair, and Red eyes. And Steve, he wasn't supposed to become Vampaneze until a long time later.

Mr. Tiny is supposed to be dressed in a yellow rain suit and green rain boots. Also he is supposed to always be carrying a tiny heart shaped watch that glows. Not a cane!

Darren and Steve are supposed to be twelve at the beginning and it was supposed to be Steve who attacked Darren and Mr. Crepsley in the graveyard, not Murlough!

Ohh and the theater fight scene between Darren, Steve, and Mr. Crepsley was not supposed to happen till the last book and Mr. Crepsley and murlough aren't even supposed to be there when it happens. They are both dead.

All I am saying is it could have been A LOT better than it was.
