Review of Cinema Paradiso (1988) by Annelies S — 25 Oct 2010
Very beautiful Italian drama with a very strong screenplay and cast. I saw the original 1988 version and the director's cut on DVD. The director's cut mainly shows sex scenes and love scenes, but also the last meeting between the male and female protagonists, originally not shown in theatre.
I enjoyed both versions. And what I loved most were the numerous black / white movie scenes from a time long before I was born. Definitely worth watching!
