Review of Cinderella Man (2005) by Faith S — 07 Apr 2011
Review:For the drama content accompanying the 'look in' aspect of boxing having a fair game in certain circles at certain times in history, this biopic example being one of them. The forword speaking of 'human interest' or masculine integrity in the family unit during the onset of the great depression (1928-1935), covering a mere time spanse of only approximatly five years is all it takes to learn the proud nature of this human being.
Synopsis:A talemted and renound boxing great, in the professional circut, working out of New York gets to the elite circle of contenders-reaching international recognition in the sport, without losses accrediting his title weight claim. Injured, then falls short of carreer goals, instead follows a fatherhood and spouse roll at tough times economically. Raises to the competition of his acclaim once again in an exillerating dramatic comback, save for some painfull realizations.
