From what I've seen so far Cinderella Man is a gripping tale of a boxer living in the great depression. Against all of the forces driving Cinderella man back, he continues to push through the bleakness of his life and never gives up on himself or his family.

He literally punches and smashes his way out of poverty and into fame. When all his fans doubted him, he proved that every man deserves a second chance to redeem himself. Now time for the criticism. The plot of Cinderella man held promise for a good movie.

The plot was faced paced, the action was intense, the characters were believable. There was just one thing that kept bothering me about the movie though. Where was the pain and suffering? Where was the poverty stricken families living in hoovervilles? Where were the hardships? All I saw was the rich wasting money that the poor didn't have.

The movie circulated around the rich. The great depression didn't only revolve around the wealthy, the poor was hit the worst and you didn't really see this in the movie. Yes the movie was entertaining, but where were the facts, and scenes about how the poor survived during these harsh times? I just felt that the movie was missing some very important parts of the great depression.
