Review of Cinderella (2013) by Nikki T — 17 Jun 2015
An enchanting live-action retelling of this storybook classic. It remains quite faithful to the story we all love while adding some nice new elements. It skirts a fine line of fantasy and reality... which being a live-action movie actually makes this a delightful blend. It's almost possible, you might think, except in a storybook sort of way.
It's also a visual treat with its elegance and beauty - especially the famous ball at the palace. Some humor, a wickedly good wicked stepmother and exceedingly nasty step-sisters mixed with a healthy dash of hopefulness, heartfelt wholesome love and a message of courage and kindness.
