Review of Cinderella (2013) by Matthew S — 21 May 2015
It is what it is. It's Cinderella like you've seen her countless times before! Visually stunning (if not reminiscent of "Ever After") and will acted, this new "Cinderella" movie can be placed on the shelf next to all the other "Cinderella" movies for the "Cinderella" movie aficionados.
But, really, what was the point of doing it over again if we weren't going to really deliver anything new? Finally "Into the Woods" told people the truth in how the original tale's women tried to alter their feet to fit into the slipper.
This Cinderella still told the Disney-style tale without the singing. *Shrugs* Which was fine, I guess.
