The production value in this movie is incredible, and the acting is great as well. But there is no straying from the original property, no drastic changes made to enhance the story or "modernize" it.
It is the same story told so many times before it, and I can't stand for it. There is no tension, and no real fun to be had other than saying to your friends "Hey is Robb Stark!" The acting is great and the production value is stunning, but it only does so much for the story.
Maybe it's not the fault of the film, but it is the fault of the studio. Stop making the same movie over and over again.
