This is a charming, visually sumptious Walt Disney film. Kate Blanchet is the evil step mother which she plays with gusto. I think she borrowed the cackle from Adele, who sounds disturbingly similar! There's plenty of cameos from well known thesps, so it's a cosy familiar film. The dress and hat designs are extraordinary. So it's one to drag out to amuse the grandkids of a Sunday afternoon.
