It should be dark, or noir. The title (esp. in Chinese), the stressful opening with lonely urban souls seeking comfort. However, it starts out in an almost misleading way because the bright-colored city glow perfectly camouflaged the noir themes.
It ends with pain. It's not intense, but quite desperate.
