Review of Christopher Robin (2018) by Makkenzy S — 07 Sep 2018
I'm no fan of Disney's crop of live action remakes as of recent, which is why I'm glad this movie went in a new direction. By no means perfect, this movie is more than enough to spark childhood magic in your heart like very few movies will these days. The callbacks are superb and not at all forced, and the very English atmosphere including the railway scenes is very tangible, not at all fake in feel at any point.
This is a movie with a lot of heart, and very little drama. It's simple, corny, and wholesome in all the right ways. Exactly how a more 'adult' Winnie The Pooh film should be.
