This is a great popcorn movie. It knows it's rediculpis but tries to use that to create palpable tension. There's a lot of great jump scares and tense moments. The ending is multilayered but does end up being a bit predictable.
If you want a tense action movie about a giant shark then you should enjoy this movie. I doubt it'll win any awards but it knows what it is and does that well.
