Review of Christopher Robin (2018) by Mariah M — 03 Aug 2018
"Christoper Robin", provides an interesting glimpse into the world of Hundred Acre Wood. The overlying theme of the film revolves around parents, specifically a father, who doesn't spend enough time with his child due to the pressures of providing.
In the end, we triumph knowing that the joy of family is irreplaceable. A kids movie certainly, but adults alike can appreciate the heartwarming elements, and the silliness of Pooh. In addition, the artistic decisions from the cinematographer deserve praise.
Perhaps a little long, but nevertheless, "Christopher Robin" gets up close and personal with our stuffed animals, giving a childlike nostalgic to anyone who remembers what its like to play. Overall: charming, smart, imaginative, and aesthetically pleasing.
