Review of Christmas on Mars (2008) by Peter M — 12 Dec 2008
Pretty disappointing in most ways, but purely because of the execution: The acting was pretty terrible, the dialogue lacked realism, and the music(!) could have been a lot better - especially since this movie was made by musicians.
That was the biggest let-down for me actually - I can handle poor acting and crummy dialogue, but I expected a lot more from the band that bought us zaireeka. This film does have good points - the plot was pretty good, as was the psychadelia, and certain moments were very poignant despite the acting/dialogue.
I was entertained enough the first time, but I don't think I'll be seeing it again.
