Review of Choke (1971) by Craig B — 04 Aug 2009
It's rare that I call for a film to be longer, but Choke could have used another 10-15 minutes for the purposes of expanding, if only a little, on the ideas it plays with and for clarity of plot. It has some interesting moments, but ultimately falls short of either being entirely engaging or becoming the film it wants to be.
Too much pseudo-philosophy, not enough substance.
