Review of Choke (1971) by Eduardo C — 13 Feb 2010
Having not read Chuck Palahuniak's novel, I can only write about "Choke" as a film-viewer, and from that standpoint I was thoroughly entertained. Mainly thanks to Sam Rockwell's incredibly charasmatic performance, "Choke" works as a dark comedy about sex addiction and how parents shape their children, for better or worse.
With some genuinely dramatic moments and several laugh-out-loud moments, "Choke" might be more appealing than a lot of people care to admit.
