Review of Choke (1971) by Jim M — 29 Jun 2011
Victor Mancini (Sam Rockwell) is a sex addict. When not attending meetings to overcome his addiction (and nailing fellow addict Niko (Paz de la Heurta)) he works as a "Historical Interpreter" at a Colonial America rennactment with his best friend and compulsive masturbator Denny (Brad William Henke), deals with his boss the Lord High Charlie (Director Clark Gregg). Victors mother Ida (Anjelica Huston, looking kind of like Alice Cooper) is suffering from Alzheimars. To help pay for her care Victor pretends to choke to death so that some Good Samaritan will rescue him thus feeling responible for him. And then shit gets weird...
Great ass sex comedy by Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson in the Marvel films) from the novel by Chuck Palahniuk. Sam Rockwell is suitably fucked up, and Kelly MacDonald is great. Enough talk...I laughed throughout go see this movie.
