Review of Chocolat (2000) by Lee S — 15 Jul 2009
A good attempt at being French during the 60s in a small village, but there there is a lack in persona and the right atmosphere to make it convincing. Otherwise superb acting.
Superb story though, was really drawn in despite it being a genre I'm not that excited about. Somewhat funny, light hearted, mysterious. Very well written. Reminds me, in a way, of Gretal and Hansel.
