Review of Chocolat (2000) by Mesh B — 09 Mar 2012
Though the name may suggest it to be a romance poetry kind of movie, Chocolat is by far nothing as mention above. Nominated for Oscar for her work in Chocolat, Juliette Binoche did a marvelous job playing Vianne, a single mother with a gift of cocoa cooking who come into a small France village and influence the people for a modern change. Johnny Depp is heavily advertise in this movie though not particularly a bad thing but he has minimum screen time. Lena Olin and Alfred Molina leave me impressed by their stellar acting and performance.
8.2/10.
