Review of Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022) by Grendizer — 26 May 2022

For this kind of film, really decent entertainment for adults who were glued to the boob tube in the 80s. Cool references to other franchises that often go beyond what you usually get. Takes a few more chances, which really surprised me for a Disney film. You can tell they've put some thought into it and it doesn't feel like a cash grab. You can tell the passion and knowledge of the material. I'd love to see more of it. Will not be everyone's cup of tea. For example, if you're expecting more 80s TV series flair, you should lower your expectations a bit, as 2 characters have little screen time and it's not really a Rescue Rangers episode.

It's not a general 9/10 of course, but for this kind of movie yeah, it holds up to the latest Sonic and Pikachu movie. Which one holds the crown might be a matter of taste.
