Review of Chinatown (1974) by Jared H — 28 Dec 2011
This is a really good noir flick that is carried by a terrific performance from Jack Nicholson. The heavy tone never lets up, and kind of envelopes you by the end of the film. Had I seen it when it came out, I might have heralded it as the masterpiece that it is regarded as, but even today it holds up as a rock solid, terrific detective drama.
