Review of Chinatown (1974) by Sean P — 20 Apr 2012
For a movie as widely acclaimed as this, I would have expected a conspiracy a bit larger than this. But, I guess you have to keep in mind that this film is responsible for inspiring everything after it, so, in that case, the movie's a fine movie and Nicholson gives a great performance.
However, I can't say I liked Dunaway's character. Being a film noir, I suppose the nudity was warranted, but, they could have kept the scene between Nicholson and Dunaway out and the movie would have been just as good.
