Review of Chinatown (1974) by Luis M — 04 May 2011
Not only is Chinatown one of the most excellent examples of neo-noir during the New Hollywood age, but it is a piece of work that still holds up quite well today. Polanski's vision is dark, violent & fascinating.
Nicholson and Dunaway's chemistry is excellent and Robert Towne's script is remarkable. Chinatown is a true gem.
