Review of Chinatown (1974) by Angel Emilio V — 25 Jan 2012
This movie is one of the best movies I have ever seen, I must say that the best movies are mostly boring (well, everybody thinks different) ; But throughout this film, I got more and more interested on what was going to happen after JJ Gittes (Jack Nicholson) got more clues.
I read a review that said the ending was predictable, I guess, but you only predict it a moment before that happens... so I don't think it's predictable.
The Older (would call it classic, but classic is more for B&W movies) cinema is the real cinema (even though I haven't seen much), I recommend watching old movies first, like:
The godfather.
Martin Scorsese Films (his a legend).
Scarface.
Cookus Nest.
And B&W movies, haven't seen much; but Gregory Peck And Orson W. movies are very good..... And Henry Fonda.
It's like celebrating your heritage (movie heritage), then you go for modern day movies, like:
Slumdog millionaire.
Cohen Brothers Films (they're like a legend, too).
127 hours.
Million dollar baby.
Everybody thinks different, I gave it a 5 out of 5 because I liked it; But maybe you think different.
