Review of Chinatown (1974) by Liam B — 27 Sep 2012

This film is a definite classic revitalizing the noire genre to it's previous state of brilliance with such films as the maltese falcon and double indemnity. This depressing tale cemented Jack Nicholson as one of the finest actors and lead to him earning the lead role in "One flew over the cuckoo's nest".

I personally believe it is Polanski's finest film the only downside being cinema legend John Huston embarrassing himself through clumsy acting although admittedly sinister.
