To refer to this 1974 gem as a classic seriously undermines the fact that it analyzes our obsession with power and political corruption. If any of you were let down by the "not guilty" verdict administered upon O.
J. Simpson in 1995, then I guarantee that the penultimate lines of the film will sum up your reaction to said verdict: "Forget it, Jake; it's Chinatown.".
