Review of Chinatown (1974) by Joshua D — 23 Feb 2014
"Forget it Jake. Its Chinatown.".
Chinatown is the perfect noir film story. The 1940s are dear to me and is one of my favorite time periods. From the clothing and style to the stories that lurk in it, the 1940's bring an awesome time and Chinatown uses it to its fullest. The acting, especially Jack Nicholson, was flawless. The score supplied enjoyment and the occasional jump. The visuals and filming style was everything noir style and I loved it! All these elements ultimately joined the crazed, bloodthirsy, storyline that is the death ridden waterworks of Los Angeles.
