Jack Nicholson is at his absolute finest as smooth private eye Jake Gittes in this flawless crime noir classic. Roman Polanski, perhaps one of the most important film-makers in modern cinema has crafted one of the greatest films of all time with Robert Towne's fantastic screenplay.
