Review of Chimpanzee (2012) by Tom K — 23 Apr 2012
Tim Allen's voice-over narration is distracting, the violent realities of nature are toned down for children to the point of seeming to have little impact, and the narrative structure probably would have worked better as a series on Animal Planet; still, it is impossible not to marvel once again at the wonders they are able to capture on camera these days, nor is it difficult to identify with these creatures that are so like us in both our nobility and our wretchedness.
