"All there is now is reboots and no one releases original films anymore!" But that's no true because each year there are hundreds of original films that release and a good chunk of them are horror. The issue is people don't seek them out or they get bootleg copies depriving the creators of their earnings and a majority of these filmmakers aren't rich and depend on those earnings to make a name for themselves and by proxy make more. Anyway I'm off topic but seek these films out and you'll **** about reboots a lot less!

Now onto Child's Play. I loved it and honestly it had the perfect balance of humor and horror. I've been watching horror since I snuck the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre my parents rented and watched it at five. So I've been watching these films for decades and at eight the OG Child's Play didn't scare me at all. I thought it was cool but it didn't scare me. Now this reboot didn't terrify me but it did creep me out and we enjoyed it very much! I like the new take and to me it's more frightening that it's all tech based in that it can get into anything connected to the network as opposed to the voodoo route. Mark Hammil killed it as Chucky and imo is right up there with Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky.

Also Don Mancini is continuing his original CP universe so it's a win win because Curse of Chucky was amazing and my favorite of the original films. Anyway if you're a fan give this a go.
