Review of Child's Play 2 (1990) by Guido S — 29 Oct 2013
Child's Play 2 picks up shortly after the first film in which Chucky was burnt. he gets picked up by Play Pals and he gets reassembled into a new doll from the remaining parts. This sounded good and I hoped they explored that a little more, but they really don't go that path and instead follow mostly the story of the first film where Chucky tries inhabit the body of Andy but can't and murders plenty of people along the way.
Andy is also part of a foster home, but they don't last too long except for his step sister. That's maybe my biggest complaint in it being way to derivative of the first one. The finale in the doll factory is really good though and nearly makes up for the rest.
I preferred the first film, but this one is a pretty decent sequel.
