Child's Play 2 is an amazing direct sequel to its 1988 predecessor thanks to another clever script from series creator and writer Don Mancini and from Brad Dourif's creepy performance as Chucky the killer doll.

Child's Play 2 takes place after the events of the first movie where Andy who survived the attack of Chucky is now living with his foster parents while his mother is undergoing psychiatric testing.

But soon he discovered that Chucky is back again and is willing to transfer his soul in his body again. To be honest when I watched this for the first time because this was my first Chucky movie along with Child's Play 3 I seriously freaked out a lot when I saw this first air on TV back when I was a 5 or 6 years old boy and I was really freaked out in watching this film a lot and watching it today back to back with the original Child's Play it still freaks me out and yet this still impress me.

What I like about Child's Play 2 is that the film still delivers the goods of its predecessor(camerawork and soundtrack are ace)and there are loads of fantastic and suspenceful scenes in the film(The birth of Chucky at the fantastic Toy Factory setting is so ace, Chucky killing Andy's teacher with a ruler which is an extremely painful, intense and brutal sequence, The death of Andy's foster father, The death of the head psychiatrist and the climax at the toy factory which is one of the best and most fantastic moments in Horror history and the best scene in the whole movie)and I love all of the ideas in this film and the biggest difference with this film is that the movie is bloodier and gorier than the first Child's Play since part 1 has some suspenceful violence this sequel ratched up the gore and brutality to the highest level kudos also to director John Lafia's fantastic directing and clever script writing again from Child's Play genius and creator Don Mancini with a superb performance from actor Brad Dourif who continues to portray the killer doll Chucky.

Now the acting is great Brad Dourif and Alex Vincent deliver a fantastic performance as always while the rest of the casts deliver an impressive performance throughout the movie. Director John Lafia did a fantastic job with his work on this movie and his directing is very similar to Tom Holland's directing in the first Child's Play while Don Mancini did another fantastic job with his clever writing in this fantastic follow up to the first Child's Play so far.

Overall Child's Play 2 is a fantastic follow up that still delivers the same goods as the first movie and this film gets a 10/10.
