Th original of the Chucky films is dated and was never that scary, like the series as a whole was more tongue in cheek than anything. When an outlaw is chased by police into a toy store he decides to possess himself into a talking doll named Chucky, the toy store burns down and the outlaw is thought to be dead.
A single mother buys the doll from a street peddler and gives it to her son and this is when people start to die around her son. Good special effects with the toy and some scenes that are still good scare moments even for today.
