Review of Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things (1972) by Paul C — 19 Mar 2008
"Children Shouldn't ." is a fun, low-budget, creepy, occasionally funny, PG(!), zombie movies from the early '70s. I remember watching this one on late night TV with my cousins and it scaring the cr@p out of us.
Having watched it again recently, I can say that it is still quite effective, in spite of its PG rating. It is still one of my favorite zombie flicks. As a side note, the director, Bob Clark, went onto direct "Porky's" and "A Christmas Story.
" In fact, one of the actors, Jeff Gillen, played Santa "You'll shoot your eye out, kid" Claus in "A Christmas Story.".
