Review of Children of the Living Dead (2001) by Gus S — 04 Jun 2008
Despite the title this, unfortunately, has nothing to do with George A. Romero's dead series and the "Living Dead" have no children to speak of. The script is awful and contradicts itself repeatedly, the acting is pathetic and there are no zombie effects.
I mean come-on, you can get Tom Savini to act in the movie but you won't have him do the zombie make-up? Dozens of zombies get shot, but always off screen or from a distance so the filmmakers could avoid using make-up.
One of the films many exposition scenes also mentions two previous zombie outbreaks (referring to Night of the Living Dead) yet no one in this movie seems to remember those events and doesn't believe in zombies.
