Review of Children of the Damned (1964) by Floyd C — 09 Oct 2010
I prefer this to the originial. While the first was a straight forward genre piece the sequel holds political messages and tends to be much more of a drama-thriller than a horror film. I read all the reviews for the first and then for this and wonder what people see in the original film.
It is tame, slow moving, and predictable. The scariest thing is the fact that some of the women are accused of being unfaithful to their husbands when they get pregnant. The sequel avoids the cheesy scares and tells a story with an actual point that left me wondering quite a few things.
In my opinion, this one is way better than the previous film was.
