Review of Children of the Corn (1984) by Chris A — 27 Jan 2008
What...this isn't a comedy? Because I can't stop laughing whenever it's on. The touching, beautiful, coming-of-age performance of Malachi, and the stark realism and delicious intrigue of the boy preacher Isaac, bring both a tear to my eye and a fond remembrance of my own hometown.
A giant rodent god that lives in a cornfield and killing that's actually, albeit unintentionally, funny make it worth the cost of admission (to your television set). Your search for movie excellence is over.
Ten stars for this outstanding piece of sh...cinema! BRAVO!
