Review of Children of Men (2006) by Erik B — 17 Mar 2013
This film is a fucking miracle. There is no other way to describe it. It's just THAT good. The cinematography is equivalent to the cinematic second coming of Christ, the direction and visual style is hypnotic and engrossing, the story is thought provoking and engaging and the performances are incredibly natural (which is pretty difficult to do considering the subject matter).
I honestly cannot remember the last time I was THIS engrossed in a film, clenching my seat and glued to the screen in suspense. It may very well be one of the greatest things ever committed to cinema.
