Firstly, I love sci-fi, but I did't see something so futuristic in this film(besides the car and computer tv). Well, the point of the movie is not the technology, but still, it bothered me. Otherwise, I didn't feel something weird.

I like what Alfonso did to the cinematography. Instead of lying on many scene angles, he decided to follow the main character(like he did with "Gravity") I think it is what differentiate his movies with others. He has his own style. I like what he did with the city background, too. It perfectly crafted as the world that didn't use to be. The scene that made it great is the revelation of baby. When people stop the war when they saw the first birth after 18 years, there is a sublime message about how a birth and hope could tame the wild of life. The best scene in this movie! I love Cuaron (no homo).

The most character improvement is Syd, I think. I like his style and all that accent and cruel jokes. He still worth it even he is a not-really-antagonist(he never had a chance to know Faron's group motive, amirite?).

This is a great movie for you sci-fi lovers, and a great movie for you fictional military political Iraq adaptation war(I don't what I am talking) movie. You'll regret to miss this one.
