I can say that there are things that I loved and disliked in this film. I loved the focus on the deaf community and the message portrayed of how important and difficult it is sometimes for the hearing and the deaf communities to connect.
I think Marlee Matlin is fantastic, but I think that they could have added more to her character, perhaps giving her more internal dialogue or into her back-story.
