Review of Child 44 (2015) by Vincent S — 18 Apr 2015
'Child 44' is a plodding, depressing and early photographed slog. Thick Russian accents, an unnecessary first half hour, making the film way too long. Tom Hardy is much better than his material but this is the wrong role for him.
The other actors look lost , miscast or acting badly. This is way too grim for such a dull exercise with not one character I liked to spend 2 plus hours with.
