Review of Child 44 (2015) by Amilcar A — 22 Apr 2015
This is perhaps one of the most confusing and boring movies I have seen in a very long time. I was not sure if it was supposed to be a murder thriller, a conspiracy move or simply an anti-communist propaganda flick.
The sad thing is the trailers looked amazing and I was expecting a lot. Sadly it became a sea of cliches, silly accents and just confusing characters that made little sense.
To make matters worse, the movie is slow and boring so there's really no redeemable factor. Even bad movies can be fun and entertaining. Not this one. Oh no, it's like a dinosaur in a tar pit just slushing through.
Maybe if there is nothing else and you are not tired, this could be a watchable film. However under most circumstances just avoid it.
