Review of Chicken Run (2000) by Kevin M. W — 18 Jun 2018

Take "The Great Escape" and switch the story to a English barnyard, where a covey of fowl have had it with intolerable conditions and want out. Doesn't seem like much but the beautifully succinct animation (which can convey just about any emotion Aardmann so chooses), a warmly told tale, and a cast of diverse characters to root for and you are drawn into this surprisingly charming experience.
