Review of Chicago (1927) by Christian W — 28 Aug 2011
Though it's best picture Oscar was totally unwarranted, "Chicago" isn't the piece of trash it's detractors purport it to be. It's ultimately a well acted and crafted piece of lightweight entertainment, though nothing more.
However, the film is worth checking out if just for Renee Zelwegger's performance, a sensational piece of sassy, sexually naive thesping.
