Review of Chi-Raq (2015) by Aahtue A — 27 Jan 2016

I'm sure Spike Lee meant well with the message he was trying to convey in this move, and I fully understand such a message. But it was carried out in such a way throughout this film that it became extremely difficult to not only keep my full attention, but to also take it seriously enough for its message to continue resonating within me well after the end credits rolled.

Instead, all I kept thinking about was how much more serious this movie should have been and not the unfortunate parody that it is.
