Review of Cherry 2000 (1987) by Edward K — 06 Sep 2004
I am going to attempt an ongoing series of threads rating bad but entertaining B movies. I will rate one a month. That way I will post a new entry at least once a month. My first entry is Cherry 2000. I picked this one up in the bargain bin of HMV for the low, low price of $9.
99. I remembered enjoying this flick when I saw it in the theatre. Melanie Griffith plays (E. Johnson) a tracker hired to go into the restricted zone to acquire a replacement sex robot for Sam Treadwell (David Andrews).
After seeing the choices of real women Sam has I can't blame the desire for a robot. Based on any rational criteria this film is a stinker but I have never been too rational. It is a fun watch although with all the time Melanie was naked or had her shirt open you would think we would get a glimps of her breasts.
We come close once but never quite get there.
