Review of Chernobyl Diaries (2012) by Swayam B — 20 Dec 2012
Great set up (though it could have been cut tighter)...but what they didn't set up was that they had amassed a group of kids that were so profoundly stupid. Horrible camera work during any kind of action sceen and a couple of cheap jump scares.
**SPOILERS** Who isn't afraid of Sleestaks (which is essentially what they are)? This had so much potential...too bad the writers completely dropped the ball when they introduced the monsters. And how stupid were they? Waiting for the tour guide since "he'll know how to get back"? It was earlier established there was only ONE (actual) road in and out.
Looking for cables for the van that had a dead battery?!?! Just absolutely no excuse for that kind of stupidity. All while they were no more than a 4 hour leisurely stroll back to the check point.
