Review of Chernobyl Diaries (2012) by Anna I — 03 Apr 2013
This isn't normally the type of movie I would rent (I'm not really into horror movies), but for some reason I thought it was more of a true story or documentary (I guess I was thinking of something else). Anyway, so when a friend informed me this was a horror movie I got a little nervous (since I scare easily), but I didn't need to be.
There were no big names in this film and the acting was kinda what it was supposed to be.
I actually really liked this movie. From the first scene I was saying to myself out loud "bad idea" to the characters, but oh well. I thought the movie was entertaining and interesting. It sorta reminded me of Cloverfield or Blair Witch as a lot of the scenes were done with that shaky camera made to look like homemade movies.
Anyway...overall it was the perfect amount of scary...even including a creepy little kid (and creepy little kids are one thing that scared me the most).
