Review of Chernobyl Diaries (2012) by Cory M — 04 Nov 2012
Having learnt about Chernobyl in physics, I was persuaded by the advert to go and watch this film. But what a waste of time. Chernobyl diary's is a mixture of terrible jumpy horror, with the story line so dreadful it makes snakes on a plane look like the god farther.....
Chernobyl diary's ticked all the boxes... Well all the boxes for a cliché American horror. Yet again we see a dreadful horror which occurred because Hollywood has more money then sense.
So what do we expect to see from this "classic cliché"?
Big breasted blondes running away from monsters whilst all her friends are being killed off (ugliest to hottest of course). Whilst the creepy blond toddler stands at the end of the drive ready to deliver a.
"Scare" to the audience.
The worst part has to be the ending. It seems like the writers where 2 minuets from there coffee break and wanted to wrap it up ASAP. You would expect there to be some questions asked as to why the police would just shoot him for shouting help. never mind the fact that they didn't want the girl to tell the outside world about Chernobyl, so they just threw her to the mutants.
Dreadful ending for a dreadful film.
