It never really engaged me emotionally. Imagine that, a movie about French whores with more money than I might ever hope to have and their troubled children. Yet, somehow, I just couldn't relate. I'm curious to know if Michell Pfeiffer asked for or was just given the Cybil Shepard treatment - soft filter treatment explains the reviews that gush at her "radiance".
